For the assessment task you will need to: | |||
Produce a poster series of four (4) posters on young children’s health, safety, wellbeing and nutrition. As a collective the poster series must articulate how early childhood teachers support, facilitate, promote, and educate children on their health, safety, nutrition, and wellbeing. The poster series must have cohesion and link together when on display, and include a mixture of text, tables, graphs, pictures, images, diagrams. Poster 1: Keeping Young Children Safe. Ensure to: Outline children’s safety in relation to service environments; from maltreatment (abuse and neglect); in emergency situations; and in the provision of first aid.Discuss the early childhood teachers role in keeping young children safe.Provide examples of learning experiences for 0-2 years, 2-3 years, 3-5 years, and 6-8 years you could use to educate young children about safety-related topics. Poster 2: Promoting Children’s Health. Ensure to: Outline children’s health in relation to screening and immunisation; understanding medication administration; and managing illness, allergies, and special medical conditions.Discuss the early childhood teachers role in promoting children’s health.Provide examples of learning experiences for 0-2 years, 2-3 years, 3-5 years, and 6-8 years you could use to educate young children about health-related topics.
