Answer the following questions
Assignment 1-Part A: [20 Marks]
Question 1: Data visualization [5 Marks]
Business Intelligence is collective form of tools and technology aided by data visualization tool. What do you understand by data visualisation tool ? Give an example of industry where this is used extensively.
Question 2: Data visualization in action [5 Marks]
A novice data worker writes the following report and submits to his boss.
The report reads as follows:
Data have been collected from a reputed source on data breaches between July and September 2019. In the month of July, were 58,000 cases of malicious attacks, 20000 cases of human errors and 7000 cases of system faults. Likewise, the respective values in August were 60000, 22000 and 14000 cases respectively. Data recorded for September saw the cases of 42000, 22000 and 2000 cases of respective categories. Upon showing this report, his boss threw it at his face.
Based on above case study, answer the following:
- Investigate the reason of anger of his boss (3 Marks)
- Using your skills of Office Product present above data in visually pleasant form (2 Marks)
Question 3: IT Concepts to Business Decisions [5 Marks]
What do you understand by Business decision? How does it help business? Give an industry example of business decision.
Question 4: Information Accuracy [5 Marks]
What are the traits of good information? Explain one of them in detail in the context of industry use.
